Islamic Relief is an international Non-Government Organisation (NGO) that was established in Birmingham, UK in 1984. It seeks to promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities through relief and development programmes.

In addition to emergency relief our programmes cover sustainable development, emergency relief and Orphan Support. Our focus areaa are: Afghanistan, Albania, Bangladesh, Bosnia, Egypt, Kosova, Indonesia, Iraq, Mali, Pakistan, Palestine, Sudan and Chechnya.

Islamic Relief has consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (special category), signatories to the code of Conduct for the international Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGO's Disaster Relief, and members of British Overseas NGOs for Development (BOND).

Logistics Officer

IRW is recruiting for a Logistics Officer to be based in Birmingham with moderate travel. The main purpose of the position will be to provide effective & efficient logistical operations to the emergency response team and the country programme. Humanitarian Logistics Officer

IRW is recruiting for a Humanitarian Logistics Officer to be based in Birmingham with extensive travel. The main purpose of the position will be to coordinate and develop an effective and efficient logistical capacity in an emergency setting. Reporting to the Head of Humanitarian Department, the person will assume responsibility for the overall humanitarian logistic operations including international procurement, shipment, transportation, storage and distribution of any Humanitarian Department operation.
